Hybrid Heat consists of an HVAC dual-fuel system with:
A natural gas furnace or boiler.
A ducted or ductless air-source heat pump.
A compatible, integrated thermostat.

- Provides you with a more affordable and reliable system to heat your home as compared to electric heat pumps without a back-up. While electric heat pumps operate in colder temperatures, their output declines as the outdoor temperature drops. This is not an issue with a hybrid heat system.

For a single zone/system, the maximum rebate of $2,000 is available for the purchase of a qualifying high efficiency ASHP/ccASHP. For a two zone/system, the maximum rebate of $4,000 is available for the purchase of a qualifying high efficiency ASHP and a ccASHP with a SEER2 ≥ 15.2, EER2 ≥ 10, HSPF2 ≥ 8.1, COP ≥ 1.75 at 5° F rating. NJNG reserves the right, with approval of the State of New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, to terminate, modify, suspend, or extend this rebate program. NJNG rebates and incentives do not apply to new construction. Offer applies to qualifying equipment purchased and installed by June 30, 2027. Rebate applications must be postmarked within 120 days of equipment purchase date. Customer must submit a paid receipt and proof of permit with NJNG application.
